Description : GURMIKHI LIPI DIVAS CELEBRATED AT GURDWARA BANGLA SAHIB. The Prakash Purab of Guru Angad Dev ji was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm as Gurmukhi LIPI Divas by Delhi Sikh GURDWARA Management Committee on 21st of April, 2023. The program was presided over by S. Harmeet Singh Kalka, the President of D. S. G. M. C and other distinguished guests. It was started with Ardas by the Head Granthi of Gurdwara Damdama Sahib. The volunteers and absolute beginners were taught Gurmukhi alphabets with the help of terminology of Sikh tradition. The President urged everyone to understand the need and value of mother tongue. Some students were given away the gifts who passed in the written test on the contribution of Guru Angad Dev ji. The Punjabi teachers and the parents were also honoured with golden coins for their contribution to the growth of Punjabi language. It was a great attempt to educate the people about the value of Gurmukhi Lippi and Sikh Tradition
