Description : With an aim to develop love for reading as well as to hone the communication skills of the students, an inter house English Reading as well as English Extempore Competition was organised by GHPS Karol Bagh on 15th of May, 2023 for the students of classes VIto VIII as well as classes IX to XII respectively. The students were handed out different pages of reading material which they had to read within the assigned time. They were assessed on the basis of four main parameters, i.e Content, Intonation, Voice Modulation and Stress. In the English extempore competition, the students from senior segment participated enthusiastically by picking up a slip from a bowl of slips and spoke confidently on the assigned topic. The result of the competitions is as follows : Reading Competition Chanpreet Singh of class 8th B . Vaíhanavi of class 6th Kartavya Gupta of class 7th of Baba Jujhar Singh House won the first position, while Jasnoor Kaur of class 7th Kunika of Class 8th A .Anchit Handa of class 8th B of Baba Fateh Singh House bagged the second position English Extempore competition Swastika Nanda of class XI Raghav Avasthi of class IX B of Baba Ajit Singh House won the first position while .Prabhleen Kaur &, Divyansh Kannaujia of XI C of Baba Jujhar Singh House bagged the second position.
