Description : “He who plants a tree – plants a hope” Van Mahotsav Celebrations at GHPS Karol Bagh Thursday August 02, 2018 The members of Eco-club of Guru Harkrishan Public School, Karol Bagh celebrated Van Mahotsav with great fervor and enthusiasm by organising a tree plantation drive in the school campus on August 02, 2018. Honourable S. Paramjeet Singh Ji Rana - Councillor, Chairman Dharam Prachar Committee DSGMC and S. Harvinderjeet Singh Raja Ji - Former-Manager of the school were the chief guests on this occasion and received a warm welcome by the respected Principal Mam Ms. Jasvinder Kaur. After the welcome, a colourful programme was presented by the Primary Segment. A melodious song on ‘Nature’ enchanted by none other than the tiny tots of the school enthralled the audience. The students also presented a skit related to preserve the environment by planting trees. Later an inspirational speech was delivered by S. Paramjeet Singh Ji Rana. While addressing the hearers, he not only appreciated the efforts of the students but also sensitized the crowd about the importance of trees in saving the environment. Lastly, the plantation ceremony was solemnized by planting the sapling by S. Paramjeet Singh Ji Rana. Concluding the programme, the Principal Madam urged the young brigade to be proactive in conserving nature by planting trees not only in the school but also in neighbourhood.
