Description : A short trip to Old Age home situated at New Rajinder Nagar was organized by D.S.G.M.C for the students of GHPS Karol Bagh. The visit gave the students a platform to develop their social skills i.e. caring, sharing and empathizing with the less privileged elderly. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, the manager of the old age home introduced the students to the elderly. The rooms of the elderly were broomed and cleaned by the students. Later the fruits and gifts were also distributed by the students to them. By doing so the students learnt the value of giving love unconditionally. After a brief session of light moments of singing and dancing, the students along with the elderly were taken to the Gurudwara Sahib where kirtan was performed which was followed by Ardas. In the end, the Principal, teachers and students of the school gave gift for the old age home to the Manager of the organization. The visit definitely inspired the students to imbibe the spirit of humanity and service to one and all.
