Mrs J.K.Mehon, Principal, GHPS-Karol Bagh who is a subject expert in the field of Biology has been a resource person. Under her guidance and leadership the interactive session on various topics of Genetics, Biotechnology, Environmental issues, Reproductive Biology and diseases was conducted which offered a real insight into the subject matter. The resource person provided valuable inputs not only in the field of Biology but also in teaching methodologies to make teaching learning process a success. She has explained the importance of two way communication in classroom, generating interest and curiosity, eye to eye contact etc. to make learning process effective. She also suggested various strategies like customised syllabus for weak students, use of interesting teaching aids (like videos), individual attention to all students and differentiation to achieve academic excellence. The workshop provided excellent platform to the teachers to share their experiences and also offered them an opportunity to learn from each other too. All participants showed their keen desire to implement the learning of the workshop in their class teaching.
