Description :August 08, 2018 Wednesday: The entire family of Guru Harkrishan Public School, Karol Bagh assembled at Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Karol Bagh to commemorate the Prakash Purab of Guru Harkrishan Sahib ji on August 08, 2018. On the occasion MCD Councilor cum Chairman – Dharam Prachar Committee, DSGMC , S. Paramjeet Singh Ji Rana, former School Manager S. Harvinderjeet Singh Ji Raja and several dignitaries were present to pay homage to the revered Guru Sahiban. A special Kirtan Darbar was organized by the students of the school. The programme began with the bhog of Sri Sehej Path. This was followed by chanting of Mool Mantar, recitals of Kavishris and Shabads, Sakhi narration and dissemination of basic knowledge of Sikhism by the school students which had left all spell bound. Paying deference to Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, S. Paramjit Singh Ji Rana described the revered Guruji’s life as an apostle of learning. He further urged students to follow the path of spirituality and inculcate in themselves the values of sewa and simran which will continue to inspire generations. The School Principal – Mrs. Jasvinder Kaur extended wishes on the occasion and shared information regarding the changes in the school infrastructure, introduction of new teaching pedagogies by the teachers and improvement of results. Towards the end Karah Parshad and langar was served to all.
